It’s that time of year again where all true petrol (and now electric) heads descend on-mass to the beautiful grounds of Goodwood House in West Sussex for the annual Festival of Speed.

This year, the event celebrates its 25th anniversary: “Festival of Speed – The Silver Jubilee” where all four days of the event will be packed with everything automotive, both new and old, culminating in the “Fastest Up the Hill” prize giving on Sunday.

Every year the event has a theme in which a central feature is built in front of Goodwood House, to celebrate achievements or historical events within motorsport and this year they celebrate 70 years of Porsche. At 52m high this years’ sculpture is towering over the event! One single, narrow spine, starting at only 12cm wide on the ground, shoots vertically to explode into seven pointed spindles, on which six iconic Porsches sit dramatically at each end, with the seventh spindle pointing sharply into the sky.

#FOS2018 have created a preview video to showcase this years event, you can check it out below.

As always, Alfa Romeo are present with a stand this year showcasing the entire range of vehicles. With the Alfa Romeo Stelvio making its debut and Giulia both running up the hill climb to potentially set brisk times from the expectant crowds.
