King of the Ring: Alfa Romeo Stelvio breaks SUV lap record!

That’s right! The brand-new Alfa Stelvio Quadrifoglio has clocked a time of 7:51.7 seconds round the infamous Nürburgring making it the fastest SUV road car to post a time.
It beat the previous record holder, the Range Rover Sport SVR, which lapped the circuit in 8:14.
Although being down on power than the SVR, it’s lighter kerb weight gave enough of an edge to smash the old record. This now puts it in the top 100 cars to ever post a lap time and will bring further bragging rights against the SUV sector leaders who always harp on about their performance being the ultimate.
